Vivienne McKone: Singing At Soulstice
Another great addition to the SS10 Line-up as we look forward to the multi-talented UK singer/songwriter joining us on Barnet’s field of dreams this year!
Vivienne McKone began dancing at the age of two & by the age of 8 had her first theatrical West End role! She appeared as ‘Velma’, the solo dancer, in Alan Parker’s Bugsy Malone & as a child, was represented by The Richard Stone Partnership. Vivienne was lucky enough to have a television career in music & drama up until the mid-1990’s, when she began a musical theatre involvement & writing her own music.
Her first, eponymous titled album was produced by famed US producer Stewart Levine (Crusaders, Randy Crawford, Simply Red) & featured her two biggest UK singles: ‘Sing’ & ‘Beware’, released on the legendary London Records dance imprint FFRR. Her music has been given a place on such albums as Jazz FM’s ‘Spirit of the Street: The Very Best of Inner City Cool’ & featured on the essential ‘Soul Lounge’ series on Dome Records.
Vivienne’s many live performances include supporting American jazz artist Al Jarreau & songstress Anita Baker.
More recently she featured on Joey Negro & The Sunshine Band‘s ‘Secret Life Of Us’ album, singing lead & backing vocals on the track ‘Trust Me’ & last summer her single ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright’ reached No.1 in the UK Soul Chart.
We welcome Vivienne to the Soulstice Family on our Main Stage in June.
