There’s Nothing Like Omar!

Award winning UK soul star Omar added to this year’s amazing Summer Soulstice 10 line-up!

Omar’s 1991 album ‘There’s Nothing Like This’, which spurned the classic single of the same name, both reached the UK Top 20. Six more albums & countless singles later, Omar was the winner of a Best Neo Soul Act & Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2006 Urban Music Awards & more prestigiously appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, for his services to music in 2012.

He has worked & performed with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Common, Lamont Dozier, Angie Stone plus many more heavyweights in music & recently starred in BBC2 comedy Javone Prince Show.

Omar is also part of The British Collective alongside Junior, Don-e, Noel McKoy & Leee John who are currently enjoying success with an updated version of the Trevor Walters‘ lovers rock ‘Love Me Tonight’, as well as a stunning duet with Natasha Watts on her new album ‘2nd Time Around’.
