DJ, journalist, remixer, promoter, family man & all round good bloke, Stretch Taylor makes a welcome return to Summer Soulstice next month…

Music has been in the boy’s blood since birth, with Stretch’s father being the lead singer of a successful band called The Gentry, who supported legendary rockers The Who on tour back in the 1960′s. It seemed inevitable that he’d follow a similar musical path. With his radio show on Mi-Soul & a regular guest at weekenders such as Southport, Bournemouth, Salou & Hayling Island, he recently started his own weekend event in Great Yarmouth with Ghetto Heaven.

Stretch is also part of the legendary Boating Club doos that have run on London’s River Thames for many years & DJ’ed at a variety of high profile gigs including the MOBO Awards, Pharrell Williams & Snoop Dogg’s photographic exhibition, Ministry of Sound & Pacha in Ibiza.

Stretch has interviewed plenty of artists too, including the late Teena Marie, Roy Ayers, Leon Ware, Melba Moore, Teddy Riley & Charlie Wilson to name a few. He also put together the official mix CD for Missy Elliott’s multi-platinum selling album ‘Miss E So Addictive’ for Warner Bros Records & worked for Blues & Soul Magazine for over 10 years as a contributor & compiling the magazine’s Floorfillers Chart.

Stretch is involved with several charity events, promoting & DJ’ing at numerous gigs to raise money for good causes & we’re honoured to have him back in the Club Tent helping us with our own good cause in 2018!
