Summer Soulstice

SS8 Raises More Than £30K!
Once again the love & generosity shown by everyone involved in this special day has raised another massive total of well-deserved funds for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care…
This year’s Summer Soulstice has amassed an incredible £31,261.21p which we will be handing over to our friends at the Barnet based charity officially at The Big Payback in The Black Horse Tavern, over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Our thanks go out to each & everyone of the 4,500 people who showed up for another sell-out on that last Saturday in June despite the damp start to the day. With our splendid team of Soulstice DJ’s, another great line-up of artists & all our volunteers/helpers, we easily surpassed 2013’s total & to date, the eight Summer Soulstice events have raised over £135,000 for charity!
We were also joined on the day by Cherry Lodge patron & local MP, the Rt. Hon. Theresa Villiers. She told the local press, “This event supports a great cause and gets bigger and better every year..”, Theresa continued, “I pay tribute to all the volunteers who make this event possible & who have raised so much money.”
This year’s theme celebrating the World Cup in Brazil was also a big success as Soulstice HQ sold out completely of the limited edition Samba t-shirts & much of the event was dressed with new banners & Brazilian flags on the day.
The Big Payback 2014 takes place on Saturday 23rd August starting from noon to midnight, it’s free admission & families are welcome during the day. There will be a hog roast & the usual array of fine cask ales & liquid refreshments available at the bar.
