SS8 Acts Announced!

Another great line-up of acts are promised for this year’s Summer Soulstice 8 which includes legendary UK funkers Hi-Tension, Pauline Henry of The Chimes & the return of the mighty Beggar & Co!

Also on our Main Stage we’e proud to announce local singer/songwriter McGoo Zer will be playing an acoustic set of classic soul live in the afternoon. This will be the pre-cursor to our headline acts later in the day, with the exciting news that Hi-Tension, whose UK hits include ‘British Hustle’, ‘Hi-Tension’ and ‘You Make Me Happy’, will be performing together for the first time in many years.

Plus we see the return of two familiar acts to Soulstice: Beggar & Co + Pauline Henry (of The Chimes).

Beggar & Co (the Original Light Of The World) smashed it with a live performance at Summer Soulstice 3 & now return five years on with their unmistakable sound with band members Kenny Wellington, Breeze McKrieth & Dave ‘Baps’ Baptiste.

In 2013 we were honoured to have a surprise appearance from Pauline Henry, who’s hits include ‘Heaven’, ‘Feel Like Making Love’ & ‘Sugar Free’, & who comes back this year for a much anticipated full PA set!

McGoo Zer has also played the likes of Glastonbury, Islington Academy, Cafe de Paris & the Isle of Wight festival, among others.

Along with his band, he won the UK final of the Emergenza Unsigned competition, going on to the world final @ the Taubertal festival in Rothenburg, Germany, where he picked up the award for best singer throughout, competing against over 6000 bands worldwide. We welcome this Barnet based talent to our family…
