On what was a brilliant night at Elstree’s Double Tree Hilton Hotel in October, one of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care’s most popular fundraisers finally returned after a two year gap due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

With evening dresses and bow ties aplenty, the sumptuous three course dinner was followed by an auction, a live PA from UK soul singer Melvenia, followed by Summer Soulstice regular Jamie F spinning classic and soulful vibes on the decks into the early hours.

With many of the Soulstice Crew in attendance, a cheque for £3,815 was also handed over by Richard Weekes to Cherry Lodge’s Vice Chair of Trustees Sarah Armitage and staff members Tina Papasavva and Fiona Kiddle. This was the total raised from the Summer Soulstice Virtual Festival from June 2021, the second year running this event has taken place due to lockdown restrictions in place at the time.

A further £9,000 was raised from Soul Fall Ball and Tina and all the team would like to thank everyone who supported and came along to help make the night a spectacular success. All monies raised for the charity goes toward vital work and support which Cherry Lodge Cancer Care continue to do.
