The Illumination Experience

A surprise addition to the line-up at our ninth festival, the T.I.E guys joined Bah Samba on stage, defining themselves as artistes with no boundaries and giving as much emphasis to their craftsmanship, as their musicianship…

Singers, entertainers, songwriters, producers; George, Riqo & Danny are the trio called The Illumination Experience and just also happen to be three brothers from Lisbon, Portugal.

They released their first single ‘Into You’ (remixed by Soulpersona) back in October 2013, with an album sampler later released to UK press and radio in April 2014. All tracks from that sampler generated great interest and feedback, with a special emphasis on the Incognito Remix of the single ‘Get Down’.

T.I.E. also released their debut album in 2015 and to a fantastic reaction from all the UK soul stations and DJ’s, just in time for their performance alongside the Bah Samba family at Summer Soulstice and becoming our first international act to perform at the event. They certainly bought the Portuguese sunshine with them that bright and warm June day.

The boys continue to journey to the UK and around Europe, having played more recently at the world famous Ronnie Scotts in London, as well as releasing a single with the legendary Roy Ayers.
