Pauline Henry

Rolling Stone magazine wrote that Pauline Henry “had the finest voice to come out of the British Isles”. Who are we to argue?…

Having been a part of successful dance music trio The Chimes, Pauline proved her incredible vocal prowess with UK national chart success on five singles between 1989 and 1990. The biggest of these was a cover of U2’s ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’ and their classic dance floor anthem ‘Heaven’.

She then pursued a successful solo career in the early ’90’s signing to Sony UK’s Soho Square imprint, enjoying success with a further five UK hits including ‘Feel Like Making Love’, ‘Too Many People’, ‘Can’t Take Your Love’, ‘Love Hangover’ and ‘Never Knew Love Like This’ (ft. Wayne Marshall).

Shift forward to now and as well as being a successful recording artist, Pauline is now one of the country’s top vocal coaches and runs regular singing masters classes. She also specialises in IP and is a specialist intellectual property lawyer. After a surprise visit to Summer Soulstice in 2013, Pauline returned as one of our main stage artists, knocking the crowd out with a powerful vocal performance.

She continues to work hard in the industry she loves and in recent years has played live at Bestival on the Isle Of Wight, The Jazz Café in London, as well as still touring the UK extensively. Pauline more recently hooked up with the Groove Odyssey record label to remix and re-release ‘Heaven’ with new mixes from DJ Spen and Will ‘Reelsoul’ Rodriquez.

We are very honoured indeed at Summer Soulstice HQ to have such a musical luminary now part of our extended family… This lady certainly got a whole lotta soul!!
