Glen Goldsmith

One of the UK’s most succesful singer/songwriters of the 1980s, Glen found fame with his two massive chart hits ‘Dreaming’ and ‘I Wont Cry’, both released on RCA Records…

He also wrote some big songs for the likes of Peter Andre giving him his biggest single successes; ‘Mysterious Girl’ and ‘I Feel You’. Glen also went on to work with MC Hammer, Mica Paris, Rosie Gaines and the late, great George Michael.

Glen has made two appearances at Summer Soulstice, having performed with the all star line up that was Beggar & Co (The Original Light Of The World) at 2009‘s event. He returned to Barnet again in 2013 to thrill the Main Stage crowd at our 7th festival, having enjoyed fresh success with his No.1 UK Soul Chart topping single ‘So @ Ease’, a signature soul funk number co-produced by Glen and Toby Baker and released on Glen’s own Soul On Soul record label.

This was also the follow-up to his amazing 2011 comeback single ‘Jammin In The Place’, which was supported by Solar Radio & on the BBC’s Paul Miller show. Glen has enjoyed more recent single success with ‘Don’t Delay’ featured on the Luxury Soul Weekender 2015 compilation, with the song itself topping the Official UK Soul Chart and reaching No.3 in the Top 100 Songs of 2014… This man definitely got some soulful skills!
