Golf Day 2: Another Success

A fantastic day was had around the award winning course at The Shire London, as the Summer Soulstice Golf Day 2019 drew in nearly 100 players on a slightly damp day of fundraising.

Despite the rain and clouds, congratulations finally went to Adrian Heesom and his team who picked up the Ray Fagan Memorial Trophy as this year’s overall team winners. while Paul Atreed from Team William Hunt, won the Andy Weekes Memorial Trophy as the day’s best individual player.

Summer Soulstice Golf Day 2019 Winners; Team Heesom receiving the Ray Fagan Memorial Trophy from Pam Fagan.

The renamed trophy is in memory of Ray Fagan who passed away in August this year after a long battle with cancer. Ray had been a big supporter of both Summer Soulstice over the years and Cherry Lodge Cancer Care, as well as being a friend to some of the Soulstice Crew committee. He had donated the trophy (initially the Andy Weekes Memorial Trophy) to our first event in 2018 and it was his wife Pam who presented both this and the new Andy Weekes trophy afterwards in The Shire London clubhouse.

Members of both the Summer Soulstice crew and Cherry Lodge Cancer Care, alongside The Shire London team, had once again organised another memorable day at this fast establishing charity golf day.

A big thank you goes out to all the event sponsors:
William Hunt (Savile Row), Fujitsu Air Conditioning, Waluso Gallery (London), Barclays UK, Elstree Studios, The Black Horse (Barnet), Lloyds Cleaning & Maintenance Services, Contractor UK Pay, ISA Consortium, Statons, Elite Services Environmental, Collins Solicitors, All For Sport, Taylor Wimpey, John Lawley, Bracken Lofts, Margaret Clark & Freddy Kater.

The money raised from the event will to Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and we are all looking forward to doing it once again in 2020!
