At many speaking engagements, audiences are surprised to learn that this dynamic broadcaster/writer lost a child to cancer and is a founder and former CEO of a children’s cancer charity/non-profit organisation that’s helped thousands of children with cancer and their families every year, through a variety of services focused on the quality of life.
In 1992 James Lewis was the subject of a television documentary called ‘Smoothing The Stone’, a phrase Lewis used in his talks to describe the grieving process. In more recent years the charity Action For Elders which James is also heavily involved with, won £50,000 of Lottery funding on the TV show People’s Millions.
