Dave Cee

One third of the Sour Mash Collective, a London based DJ trio from back in the day, Dave was also part of many Summer Soulstice events from those early days…

He’s always loved his music funky and soulful, having been involved in many different events over the years, including a residency at the world famous Boating Club on the Thames.

He also enjoyed many years of radio shows from his local station Red FM (Redbridge Community Radio) to the worldwide internet on Stomp Radio and also Soul24-7, presenting a weekly show which was made available as a podcast & got over 7000 downloads per month.

It was through this show that Dave met Andy Weekes, chatting regularly via email as Andy was living in California at the time and a lot of the listeners were Stateside. At the first Summer Soulstice , Dave fulfilled a dream and played the set before the legendary mixmaster Froggy getting a pat on the back for his efforts from the late, great man himself.

Nowadays and when possible, Dave only comes out to play at Summer Soulstice and at the aforementioned Boating Club, as he is now pretty much retired from the social lifestyle of the nocturnal and is a father with a different challenge and purpose in life, but he says this about Summer Soulstice: “I never thought this event would grow into the size it has become and it is a tribute to the hard working organisers and also to the people who come in their thousands and make it the success it is!”
